Descrizione sintetica in italiano	L’attività del ricercatore si inserisce all’interno del progetto ERC DASI – Digital Archive for the Study of pre-Islamic Arabian Inscriptions. Il ricercatore, esperto dell’Arabia pre-islamica, dovrà condurre in parallelo, con un ruolo anche di coordinatore, le diverse attività previste dal progetto. In termini generali, queste vanno dalla ricerca pura, con la produzione di cataloghi, monografie e contributi scientifici su specifici temi legati alle iscrizioni, alle attività più tecniche, come la catalogazione digitale delle iscrizioni, la schedatura delle iscrizioni presso musei e collezioni private, l’aggiornamento del portale del progetto DASI, la produzione di rapporti scientifici per la Comunità Europea. La produzione scientifica dovrà comprendere articoli in riviste nazionali e internazionali, monografie relative all’oggetto della ricerca e cataloghi scientifici dei musei catalogati.
Descrizione sintetica in inglese	The activity that the researcher is expected to perform is related to the project ERC - DASI – Digital Archive for the Study of pre-Islamic Arabian Inscriptions. The researcher, expert of pre-Islamic Arabia, will have to conduct, with a role of coordinator, the different activities foreseen in the project. In general terms, these activities go from the pure research, with the production of catalogues, monographies and scientific contributions on specific themes relating the inscriptions to more technical activities, such as the digital cataloguing of inscriptions, the inventory of the inscriptions in museums and private collections, the updating of the DASI portal, the production of scientific reports for the European Commission. The scientific production must include articles in national and international periodicals, monographies relating to the object of the research and scientific catalogues of the museums inventoried
