Descrizione del bando in inglese Expected research activity and regulations: the researcher is expected to do research in the framework of the Starting Grant Cariparo Project “Nonlinear Partial Differential Equations: Asymptotic Problems and Mean-Field Games” will act as Principal Investigator.Teaching activity, supplementary teaching activity, assistance to students and corresponding regulations: in the general framework of the Dep.Teaching Plan, the selected Researcher will be asked to carry on teaching activity including giving lectures in basic mathematical courses, or in courses of Math Analysis at both basic and higher level. It will also include participation in examinations, assistance to undergraduate and master students in the preparation of their theses, support to Ph.D. students, and possible supplementary official teaching activity. The total amount of time devoted to basic teaching activity, supplementary teaching activity, and tutoring to students must be of 350 hour per year.Teaching duties will be assigned yearly by the Dep. to be delivered on the campuses either of PD or VI.Specific activities required the prevailing duty of the researcher will be the research activity in the framework of the Project. The Researcher will act as Principal Investigator(PI)coordinating the Research Team(2 professors, 3 researcher and some post-doc/phd candidates)and managing the funds of the project. In the first year the Researcher will complete his/her background knowledge on the topics of the project, if necessary, and then he/she will study, in collaboration with the Research Team members, the existence of solutions of stationary Mean-Field Games(MFG)in all R^n, qualitative properties of MFG with two populations that describe segregation, and preliminary results on the Bellman equation of ergodic control with state constraints; various preprints are expected, among which at least one or two of the PI researcher. In the second year, the Researcher should be able to work with all members of the group and obtain, among other things, further results on MFG in R^n(uniqueness, evolutionary problems),on stochastic control with state constraints and the associated MFGs; he/she will also start the organization of a workshop on the project topics. In the third year, the PI will complete the research undertaken in the first two years, particularly on evolutionary MFG in R^n and MFG with state constraints, and will coordinate the final workshop. The complete description of the project is available at http://www.math.unipd.it/it/ricerca/bandi-concorsi/, see in particular sect. 2e of the project for the timeframes of the research and of the related activities.
