Descrizione sintetica in italiano	Indagini e interpretazioni sperimentali nel campo dei processi, delle tipologie, delle tecnologie e dei materiali tradizionali e contemporanei con particolare attenzione a CAD, digital modelling e manufacturing, Rapid Prototyping e Rapid Manufacturing, con attinenza e connessione alla “maker culture” e a nuovi metodi alternativi di produzione. L’attività riguarderà inoltre la ricerca di approcci innovativi per ideare e creare materiali sostenibili innovativi (con un focus sulle materie prime rinnovabili), micro produzione open source e artefatti derivanti.
Descrizione sintetica in inglese	Innovative and experimental investigations and interpretations of new as well as traditional methods, typologies and materials with special focus on CAD, digital modelling and manufacturing, rapid prototyping and rapid manufacturing, while having relation and a link to maker culture, alternative ways of making and producing and new ways of making. Forward, exploring innovative approaches to the ideation of and creation of innovative sustainable materials (with an emphasis on growing materials) the related open micro-production and resulting artefacts. The work consists of two parts individual design research which enjoys great methodological freedom –(while naturally corresponding with the faculties research targets and research clusters), parallel to subject-specific teaching –as part of the design curriculum of the faculty within the topic and the previously described research field.
