Descrizione del bando in italiano	Le società antiche, tra cui quella romana, hanno avuto un forte impatto sull’ambiente e sul paesaggio. Ognuna di queste civiltà si è infatti dovuta confrontare con l’inurbamento e con la gestione delle risorse naturali. Questi fenomeni hanno iniziato ad essere indagati recentemente dal punto di vista storiografico, archeologico e di storia del diritto. L’interrogativo di fondo sollevato da questi studi è se siano esistite forme di consapevolezza ecologica e di un’attenzione all’ecosistema presso gli antichi. La domanda, che ad una prima lettura poteva sembrare provocatoria alcuni anni fa, è oggi di stretta attualità, tanto che una prima risposta affermativa viene proprio dai diversi filoni di indagine fin qui perseguiti da storici antichi, storici economici, archeologi e storici ambientali. In linea con questi risultati della ricerca antichistica, il presente progetto intende perciò far luce, attraverso un’ampia ricognizione delle fonti e un approccio interdisciplinare, se ed in che modo le fonti giuridiche, in particolare quelle romane, abbiano avutopercezione dei temi ambientali, nonché ricostruire la capacità della società romana di far fronte alle sfide riguardanti il proprio ecosistema. Si possono infatti individuare all’interno del corpus normativo e giurisprudenziale romano alcune misure volte a contrastare, anche solo indirettamente, l’inquinamento negli insediamenti urbani, il disboscamento e lo sfruttamento del sottosuolo e delle acque, nonché a tutelare il paesaggio. I diversi aspetti della consapevolezza ambientale negli antichi, che emergeranno dallo spoglio delle fonti, diventeranno il volano per una nuova valorizzazione delle risultanze storiche ed archeologiche sul territorio parmense, che andrebbe promossa dagli operatori economici nel turismo sostenibile. Le modalità consistono nello svolgimento di attività didattica frontale, esercitazioni, assistenza alle attività studentesche, partecipazione alle procedure di verifica del profitto e finali, nell’ambito delle materie e tematiche indicate nell’oggetto del contratto. L’attività di didattica frontale, non comporta un impegno superiore a 120 ore, così come previsto dal regolamento di Ateneo. Descrizione del bando in inglese	Ancient societies, including the Roman one, had a strong impact on the environment and landscape. Each of these civilizations has in fact had to deal with urbanization and the management of natural resources. These phenomena have recently begun to be investigated from a historiographical, archaeological and legal history point of view. The basic question raised by these studies is whether there were forms of ecological awareness and attention to the ecosystem among the ancients. The question, which at first reading might have seemed provocative a few years ago, is now very topical, so much so that a first affirmative answer comes from the different lines of investigation so far pursued by ancient historians, economic historians, archaeologists and environmental historians. In line with these results of ancient research, this project therefore intends to shed light, through a broad survey of sources and an interdisciplinary approach, if and in what way the legal sources, in particular the Roman ones, have had perception of environmental issues, as well as rebuilding the capacity of Roman society to face the challenges concerning its ecosystem. In fact, it is possible to identify within the Roman regulatory and jurisprudential corpus some measures aimed at combating, even if only indirectly, pollution in urban settlements, deforestation and exploitation of the subsoil and water, as well as protecting the landscape. The different aspects of environmental awareness in the ancients, which will emerge from the stripping of the sources, will become the driving force for a new enhancement of the historical and archaeological findings in the Parma area, which should be promoted by economic operators in sustainable tourism. Teaching may include lectures, tutorials, support in any other forms of student instruction, grading and evaluation of papers and evaluation of final exams, on the subjects and topics covered by the contract. Frontal instruction for up to 120 hours is required, according to university regulations.
